PARSONS - Senior Civil Engineer (March 2008 to Present)

Metro Goldline Extension Project, Azusa CA (Metro) - Responsible for civil site design of the Goldline light rail extension "Maintenance and Operation Facility" (M&O). The 24 acre M&O site has a 100M$ estimated construction cost of a 500M$ project that will store up 84 light rail vehicles for maintenance. Served as the Lead Civil Engineer, duties included overseeing the site, grading, drainage, and roadway plans. Supervised four personnel..

Goethals Bridge Replacement Project, Statin  Island, NY - The design build project consisted of a billion dollar bridge replacement project connecting New York and New Jersey. Assisted in specifications, roadway and utility plans.

Louisiana Energy Services, Nuclear Enrichment Facility, Eunice, NM - The project consists of the design and construction of two uranium enrichment process buildings and the expansion of another conforming to “ASME NQA-1-1994, Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications” procedures. Served as the Lead Civil Engineer and prepared an excavation plan, site plan establishing horizontal control, grading plans, and utility plans.

Santa Anita / Valley Boulevard Street Widening Project, El Monte CA( City of El Monte) – Responsible for design and production of a roadway intersection widening at the major intersection of Santa Anita Avenue and Valley Boulevard. Duties included plans and profiles design, utility relocation, striping, and traffic control plans. Supervised two personnel.

Pacific Gas and Electric, Crane Valley Dam Seismic Modification Project, Bass Lake, California - The project consists of a seismic retrofit of an existing earth dam in the southern Sierra mountains of Madera County. Duties include design and planning for a rock mining quarry site adjacent to the dam, developing haul road alignments, drainage structures, grading and drainage structures, hydrology studies, design alternatives, 3-D digital terrain modeling (DTM) earthwork calculations, SWPPP and erosion control, client and consultant coordination. Also served as the Interim Quality Control Manager and Environmental Compliance Manager at the construction site. Supervised three engineers/designers.

Wonder Valley Solar Photo Voltaic Project, Twentynine Palms CA (Sustainable Energy Capital Partners)– Project consist of planning and design of a 100MW photovoltaic solar power plant located in Dale Dry Lake of the Mohave Desert. Duties include site planning, solar p720anel arrangement, and survey horizontal control, survey and geotechnical requisitions, oversaw flood plain analysis. Supervised four engineers/designers.

Titanium Sponge Plant Project, Hamilton, MS (RTI Metals)  - Responsible for design of civil elements such as site plan, roads, water distribution system, sanitary sewer collection system, wastewater collection system, secondary containment,  grading design, 3-D digital terrain modeling (DTM). Supervised one civil engineering designer.

F-35 Building 637 Expansion, Palmdale CA (Lockheed Martin Aeronautics) – Project consisted of a building expansion to support the manufacturing of the F-35 fighter jet program. Duties include preparation of the demolition plan, site plan, grading/drainage plan, utility relocation plan, and erosion control plan.

Military Operations On Urban Terrain (MOUT), Camp Pendleton CA (U.S. Marine Corps.) – Project consisted of the site design for multiple military combat training facilities. Responsibilities included 3-D grading and earthwork calculations, drainage and hydrology, and site horizontal control. Supervised two personnel.

Hawaii Regional Military Housing Project, Hawaii (Forest City Military Communities)- Responsible for civil engineering plan revision work including grading, water distribution plans, site plans, horizontal control, sanitary sewer collection, storm drainage, and erosion control plan.

 

 

KIMLEY HORN & ASSOC. - Civil Engineer (February 2007 to March 2008)

Wilshire Blvd. / Beaudry Street Widening Project, (Amidi Group) - Responsible for roadway/intersection widening at major intersection of Wilshire Blvd. and Beaudry Avenue to obtain a City of Los Angeles B-Permit. Task included utility research and relocation coordination, preparation of striping plans, traffic control plans, cross sections, and client coordination. Supervised one personnel.

Various Department Store Projects, CA & TX ( Costco/Kohl’s/Wal-Mart,  ) - Responsible for hydrology calculations and reports, grading and drainage, utility and site layout, horizontal control plans, Standard Urban Storm Water Management Program (SUSMP) preparation, digital terrain modeling (DTM) using Autodesk Land Development Desktop (LDD), road layout and vertical profiles, comply with NPDES and SWPPP requirements, City of Los Angeles B-Permit street improvement plans, and construction support.

 

HUNSAKER & ASSOC. - Civil Engineer (March 2004 to February 2007)

Various Street Improvements Projects within the County of Los Angeles - Responsible for design of new roadways, and widening of existing roads/intersections for approx. 15 projects within the City and County of Los Angeles. Roads vary from residential minor streets to major arterial roadways, and were in accordance with Caltrans design standards.

Anaverde Master-Plan Community in Palmdale CA, (Anaverde LLC) - Responsible for design and production of civil improvement plans for a 5,000 home subdivision project, as well as other various subdivision projects. Tasks included roadway design, water, sewer and storm drain distribution, hydrology/hydraulic calculations, and client coordination.

 Canyon Crossings Shopping Center, Riverside CA (Transcan LLC) - Responsible for design and production of civil improvement plans for 90-acre mixed use development project. Tasks included design of street improvement plans, grading plans, water distribution plans, sanitary sewer collection plans, drainage hydrology/hydraulic calculations, storm drain plan and profiles, and client coordination.

 

PACIFIC COAST CIVIL - Engineer (February 2003 to March 2004)

Lake Sherwood Residential Development Project - Responsible for preparing civil site improvement plans for Lake Sherwood, and various residential subdivision projects. Tasks included roadway design, grading, water, sewer and storm drain distribution.

 

BOYLE ENGINEERING - Assistant Engineer (January. 2002 to February 2003) 

Owens Lake Shallow Flooding Irrigation Project, Keeler CA (Los Angeles Department of Water and Power) -

Project scope of services included designing and installing an irrigation pipeline network, water conveyance and control systems. Duties included pressure hydraulic calculations, water storage tanks, and pump stations. Construction phase services reviewing shop drawing submittals, RFI’s, and verifying compliance with specifications. Assisted in developing budgets, work-plan schedules, and tracking man-hours.
